This is the first of a series of tips I'll write about stopping infringing internet content. The Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA") was enacted to provide a safe harbor for internet service providers who unknowingly host infringing material. Happily, for the holders of intellectual property, it also contains provisions detailing the steps required for a "takedown notice." Once a host receives notice of infringement, it is no longer subject to the safe harbor, so it must then take action to remove the infringing material,
